Galatians: A Study of Paul through N.T. Wright
Sept 13-Oct 18, 2020
Paul's project, he often says, is building— not building with bricks and mortar but rather with people. He lays the foundation with the shockingly good news of one true God who raised Jesus from the dead, to build a new family with no divisions, all of whom can call God Father. In a world of widespread ethnic rivalry and trenchant divisiveness, Paul's strong corrective message in Galatians demands to be heard and reheard. In these studies by N.T. Wright, we hear once again what remains shockingly good news. This class meets via Zoom, click here and enter passcode eC9nQW.

The Parables of Jesus
Sept 13-Oct 25
At its simplest, a parable is a metaphor or simile drawn from nature or common life that arrests the listener because of its strangeness, its vividness, and encourages one's active thought. This group will study the lessons that Jesus taught us, so that we may understand what they meant for the people of the day and what they reveal to us now.

Episcopal 101
Nov 1-Nov 29
The story of the church is the story of people. As much as Christians focus on God, the church is a product of the people, and so it is full of interesting facts, side-steps, missteps, and colorful vestments.
Everyone is invited to be a part of the conversation and ask questions about history, liturgy, or just want to know why pews don't have cup holders. This class meets via Zoom starting in November, link forthcoming.
