New In-Public Worship Guidelines

Dear Brothers and Sisters in Christ,

I know that many of us are longing to reconvene and worship together again. I am excited to share some revisions to our guidelines for public worship. Bp. Seage's letter this week has lifted the “10/20 rule” and expanded our capacity limitation to 50%, as long as individual and family groups maintain a 6-foot distance. Likewise, mask and sanitization protocols are still in effect. Practically, we will worship as we did in June and the first half of July. To sign-up for in-person worship, click here.

We will begin this new schedule starting on September 13, 2020.

9:00 am - Online Service of Spiritual Communion

10:00 am - Christian Education (online, links to follow)

11:00 am - In-Person Service of Holy Communion

The bishop's letter did clarify restraints regarding Christian Education. While we can have some smaller meetings at the church (vestry, etc.), this does not apply to Sunday School. The rationale is that this limits exposure time for people on the church grounds. Earlier communication and video messages had implied we would offer Christian Education both in-person and online. That was a mistake on my part. Christian Education is online only. If you plan to attend church in person, you may want to participate in classes via Zoom on your smartphone in your car. Links to those Zoom classes will come out soon.

If you have any questions or concerns you want to bring to me or our Senior Warden, Julia Miller, please do not hesitate. You may sign-up for a call or meeting on my calendar by clicking here. I am happy to discuss this or anything else that is on your mind.
